NES 2014

MirrorThe Kanoria Centre for Arts (KCA) was delighted to host a National Level Competition in the categories of Mixed Media, Video Art & Sculpture, co-sponsored by the Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat. This competition was one of many included in the Pre-Summit Events for the Vibrant Gujarat National Education Summit that took place in January 2014.

The competition aimed ‘Towards Educating the Youth’ kept the eligibility age from 16 to 30 and with 11 prizes in each category up for grabs. From a starting 1st Prize of Rs. 25,000 to five 4th Prizes of Rs. 5,000.

On Tuesday 7th January 2014 an Award Ceremony was held at KCA where the Hon’ Minister Education Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Major General Shri Dilavar Singh, Principal Secretary Education Shri AM Tiwari, eminent artists Shri Vrindavan Solanki and Chairman GSHSEB Shri R.R. Varsani presiding over the events. The winning works were exhibited in the Kanoria Gallery for Arts from 7th -8th January 2014 from 11am to 8pm.

On Friday 10th January 2014 the artists were invited to Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar for a photo session with the Hon’ CM Shri Narendra Modi and the artists works were also displayed at Mahatma Mandir for public viewing.
